Saturday, July 2nd's GMP Independence Day Event - Timeline update

And the rocket's red glare

The potential thunder bursting in air

Gave proof through the night

That our celebration will STILL be there

So, mother nature has other plans, and today's weather looks dicey. Please see the adjusted timeline:

3p* - As long as weather holds out (up to 8p)

  • Bike Parade "Kick-off" with Arcola (Arcola back-up date of Mon, 7/4)

  • Grubber's returns to grill burgers and dogs

  • Kona Ice to cool us off

  • Inflatables are up and ready for racing, bouncing and sliding

    • NOTE: All inflatables need adult (18+) supervision, but as volunteers are setting up they could very well be ready for use prior to then. So, when you see them up, you’re welcome to play!

9p - Fireworks by the Soccer Field (approx. 9:15/dusk) 🎆🎆🎆

In short, when you hear the music, smell the grub... C'mon down! We appreciate your understanding as we pivot..

Respectfully,

Your GMP HOA

Update on GMP Pool Bands, Life Guards, and Pool Use

Hello GMP residents.

We want take a few minutes to go over some pool items.

On Friday (June 10th) between the hours of 11am - 2pm our HOA manager will be at the clubhouse to give out pool bands. If you can not make this day, you can still pick them up at the management office in Leesburg.

As for day-to-day pool operations, we are aware of a few issues. In the past adults have been allowed to swim during the lifeguard break. This still remains the policy and should be allowed.

Staffing for lifeguards is still tough, however, talking with our pool company we expect to have two lifeguards soon.

Of biggest concern, is a group of unsupervised teenagers that are not behaving properly (cursing, splashing other residents, and even throwing pool furniture in the pool). These actions are obviously not acceptable. If they continue acting this way they will have their pool access denied and we will reinstate the rule that anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Please help us in maintaining a pleasant and safe pool experience.

Pool Bands

Hello GMP!

If you have not received the pool rules and pool bands in the posted days and times leading up to this year pool opening, please visit https://greenemillpreserve.com/pool for additional information.

Additionally, as board members we will not always be available to come down to the pool to help with issues regarding pool rule enforcement. We ask that if possible and you feel comfortable doing so, please help the life guards enforce the rules so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable pool season.

GMP...let's get ready to swim!

The GMP pool opens this weekend…are you ready?

The pool opens for the season at 10am on Saturday, May 28th.

Please take a few minutes to stop by the clubhouse this week to sign waivers for your household and to pick up swim bands, both which are required to enjoy the GMP pool.

Waiver and Pool Pick Up times

Wednesday, May 25 4-6pm

Thursday, May 26 10-12pm and 7-9pm

Saturday, May 28th 8-11am

Staying Connected in GMP

Are you looking to keep up to date with the latest news and information within GMP?

We are working to improve how we can best communicate to everyone in the community. We recognize that there is no single solution that will meet everyone’s needs, but are taking a step forward with improving our email notifications.

Starting today, in addition to this website (www.greenemillpreserve.com), we will be using Sentry Managements CommunityPro Portal to send emails to homeowners of important news and updates as primary forms of communication.

Nextdoor, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the Facebook group Women of GMP will be considered optional secondary methods of communication of information from the Greene Mill Preserve board of directors and committees.

Please consider registering with the Sentry Management CommunityPro Portal and opt-in for email communications. With the CommunityPro Portal, you can also make online payments, access your property information, and access association documents.

Thanks for recent feedback on how we can improve. As always, our board of directors and committees are open to your input and involvement to continue to improve Greene Mill Preserve. We welcome you to join our quarterly board meetings, committees, and participate in community events.

Thank you,

Joe, Chad, Jeremy, Stephanie, and Nick
