As the year 2023 draws to a close, we reflect on the moments that have shaped our community and look ahead to the new year with optimism and a collective spirit.

Our annual Homeowner’s Association Meeting, held last evening, was a significant event, marked by important announcements and decisions that pave the way for the future of our community.

Welcome to Our New Board Member
We are thrilled to welcome Allison Shannon to our Board of Directors. Allison's enthusiasm and fresh perspectives are anticipated to bring valuable contributions to our community's ongoing growth and development.

Thanking Jeremy Baker
As we embrace new beginnings, it's essential to express our heartfelt gratitude to Jeremy Baker for his dedicated years of service on the Board of Directors. Jeremy, along with his entire family, has been instrumental in creating cherished community events such as the 4th of July celebrations, Movie Nights, Halloween festivities, and more. His commitment to maintaining the unique environment of our community has been exemplary. Thank you, Jeremy, for your unwavering service and leadership.

Board Executive Positions
Following our Executive Session, we are pleased to announce the new board structure for the upcoming year:
    •    Joe Payne as President
    •    Nick Holmes as Vice President
    •    Chad Thompson as Treasurer
    •    Karin Arnold as Member At Large
    •    Allison Shannon as Secretary
These individuals are committed to leading our community with dedication and integrity.

Looking Ahead to 2024
The upcoming year brings both exciting opportunities and challenges that require our collective attention. Recent acts of vandalism, particularly the damage to the Village Greene Gazebo and the tot lot equipment, have been a concern. While we have video footage of these incidents, we encourage anyone with additional information to step forward. This will greatly assist in our discussions and planning for repairs. Current estimates for the gazebo repairs range between $4,000 and $5,000. We are determined to address these challenges and continue enhancing our community's environment and facilities. Your support and cooperation in these efforts are invaluable.

In Conclusion
As we step into 2024, the board remains committed to fostering a vibrant, safe, and thriving community. We look forward to your active participation and support in making our neighborhood an even better place to live.

But wait..there’s more!
Let’s come together as a community this Saturday for our annual Grinch Parade for Charity and support those less fortunate by collecting new and gently used books for Loudoun Literacy Council.  The Grinch Parade travels throughout GMP and books will be collected along the way or can be dropped off at the clubhouse.  Come join the fun and help support this Saturday, Dec 9th from 330-5pm.

- this Saturday evening, don’t forget to signup

Ashburn Volunteer Fire Department Parade

- this Saturday around 730pm

- plan to wave hello from the Overlook Pond or around the Village Greene and please consider donations to be dropped at the clubhouse

The Grinch is planning to make an appearance next week as well.

(Don’t forget, our annual board meeting and elections of 3 board members takes place next week, please plan to attend to help vote in our board for this next year)

AVFD's Santa Parade

AVFD's Santa Parade is coming to GMP on Saturday December 2nd at 7:30pm (estimated start time).

They will be collecting items for Dulles Food Pantry (https://www.dsfp.org/donate-food/) and new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. (https://loudoun-va.toysfortots.org/).

The route will start on Black Branch Parkway and go around the village green, before exiting on Black Branch (see map in comments).

Items can be brought to the clubhouse during our Cookies with Santa event that begins at 5:30pm December 2nd or delivered directly to Santa as they drive by.

The holidays are fast approaching - Sign up below to enjoy Cookies with Santa at the GMP Clubhouse. on December 2nd from 5:30 to 8:30pm.

Please include the name of your kiddo(s) and things they might like from Santa to personalize the experience. We will have cookies and candy as well as a few crafts.

Remember, Santa likes to spend a lot of time talking with the kids so you may not go at your exact time slot.
