Let it sNOw! - 1/24/2026 - Reminders for the Neighborhood!
/With snow in the forecast, we wanted to share a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe and things running smoothly around the neighborhood.
- While most of the streets in the neighborhood are VDOT controlled, we do have a contract for snow removal on our privately owned streets and will deploy them into the neighborhood based on the snowfall levels (Old Reilly, Hollow Tree, Amori, Harrier Ln and Coltrane Sq) .
- Please do not park on the street as it prohibits effective snow removal.
- Please remember to shovel your driveways and sidewalks once the snow stops. There is a running list on the Women of GMP Facebook page of kids who are available to help if you need a hand.
- A very important reminder for everyone, especially kids: do not go onto the frozen ponds. Even when they look solid, they are not safe.
- If there are any delays in trash or recycling pickup, we will post updates on the Facebook pages as soon as we have them.
- Please clean off the roof of your cars before driving - snow can cause damage and harm when it flies off of the car - even at slow speeds
Most importantly, stay warm, look out for one another, and enjoy the snow.
Have fun and stay safe!
