Commercial Lot Update

The board would like to update you about the special assessment for the purchase of the commercial lot. We apologize for the delay in this official communication. We have been diligently working behind the scenes to ensure that all of the proper steps are taken as we move forward.

Unfortunately when the letter was sent out there were a few mistakes that have caused confusion and many questions. (1)There was no date to start the 60 day period for the association to overturn the boards decision. (2) There is no meeting scheduled by the board to overturn our decision. (3) The correct email address for questions is Greenemill@gmail.com and we welcome your messages and questions. With these errors and many questions we are calling a “time out”.

There will be a new letter that should clear up many of these issues, answer more clearly about the associations ability to overturn the decision and an official restart to the 60 days.

We apologize that the letter created more questions than it answered as that was not our intention. We will always be as open and transparent as we can and we want to make sure that this special assessment process is done by the book.

September 3rd - Board Meeting Recap

Starting with this overview at the end of each board meeting we will give a quick update.

At the September board meet several issues were addressed as well as one new project added.

Commercial Lot

The board informed the attendees about the commercial lot and later voted in Executive Session on a plan moving forward.  Details will be received by mail.
Landscaping

We also addressed concerns about landscaping and approved a plan to remove dead trees, add new plantings to the Village Green (new project) and perform turf repair on Waxwing Dr.  We are working with LandCare, who bought our previous landscaper Palmers, to address landscaping issues. We understand landscaping is one of our biggest assets and want to keep GMP the beautiful neighborhood we’ve come to know and love.

Tot Lot

We are due to replace the swings at the Tot Lot and fix the connections to cut down on the noise they currently make. We are also looking at adding or changing some structures to make the playground even better.

Covenants

There was also discussion of covenants issues and the Board will be coming up with a plan for better education, inspections, and enforcement.
